Hey Now Zombie fans! The wheels are still turning here at TBOZ HQ. As of late we’ve re-designed the website a little (just in time for Halloween). And, we’ve begun putting together the intro to the film….a huge undertaking I might add…it’s a giant animated thing with semi live action….we have high hopes, and could be very cool. Meanwhile we’ve just about locked in one of our reels….meaning the editing is done and now it’s time for audio editing and music….I think there’s something like 5 or 6 reels to go…..so… despite the fact that it appears that we’re moving at a sub-glacial pace….which we are….we are still moving. stay tuned for more.

Hey TBOZ enthusiasts, Hang tight, the second rough cut of the film is done and we’re moving on to ADR/FOLEY work (dubbing voices and adding sound FX). We’ve also been working on explosions for a few special FX shots, most likely pissing off the neighborhood watch of one of our directors. Also, Adam Gehrke and Dave Preston recently did some exterior shooting of buildings in Carnation, Snoqualmie, and North Bend. And, right now we’re in the process of scheduling the final shooting dates. Originally we were hoping to be done by October….heh…Pipe dreams….but needless to say we’re getting close! So…while we’ve been a little quiet on the surface, turbulent waters below continue to churn. stay tuned for more info!

So, exciting news from TBOZ HQ here. We recently found out that Revenant Magazine has taken interest in our work. They’ve even taken the time to interview two of the creators of the film, Erik Van Sant and Scott Kragelund. To see and read this bitchin’ article take a look here.

For those of you who may have missed it, Crypticon was this weekend, Memorial Day weekend here in Seattle. An intimate experience meeting some of Hollywood’s greatest horror actors and creatives was had by all. And, a number of folk got the chance to catch a screening of The Book of Zombie trailer on the big screen with full sound! Impressive! A big thanks to the folks who made Crypticon possible for all of us this year is in order. And, if you ever wanted to see and hear what a theatre full of hard core horror fans sound like in reaction to our humble little trailer, well then, click here.
Cheers!

What up ghoulies!? So your faithful TBOZ crew has been busy these last few days…Still editing the film, and let me tell you this thing is looking pretty sweet. And, as I’m writing this message two members of our core team are in LA drumming up support for distribution. And, even more immediately pressing is the fact that this weekend is Crypticon. You know about Crypticon right? It’s only the biggest horror convention to hit Seattle in years. And TBOZ is going to be there… In fact, our trailer is going to be screened several times throughout the weekend. For a link to their site check this
Friday’s screening happens at 8pm in Evergreen room 1 before two short films by the founder of Rue Morgue.
Saturday’s screening is at 11:30a in Evergreen Room 1 before a local short called “The Summoning”
Sunday’s screening is at high noon before a local short called “Clown” I’m guessing this will be in the Evergreen Room 1 as well, but check the schedule when you get to Crypticon.
Also, while you’re at Crypticon, keep your eyes open and your hands out to pick up one of our sick new postcards….absolutely free! Why free? Because we care.

That’s right, ghoulies…
The Godfather of Zombie is now aware of our little blood-thirsty romp via the brilliant BJ SHEA EXPERIENCE!
BJ had Romero on his show over the phone this morning to talk up George’s new flick, ‘Diary of the Dead’…
BJ, being the ultimate ass-kicker that he is decided to talk us up over the air!!!!!!!
Romero seemed to dig the concept, or was extremely stoned judging by the amount of laughter he let loose.
We’ll post the interview a little bit later.
Thanks, BJ!
